Gem is a private studio in Sola Salon Studios in Mount Pleasant, SC. Gem is owned and run by Kelly Massey. Her studio is cozy, comfortable, and fun! Kelly will always keep you entertained with her charm, sweet spirit, and humor.

    My Humble Beginning

    Kelly attended Charleston Cosmetology Institute fresh out of high school.

  • 2004 - 2012

    First Position as a Stylist

    Salon Capelli started Kelly's career. She quotes "They provided many great experiences and education. We took several Paul Mitchell, Redken, Sexy Concepts, Beth Minardi, Pureology, Moroccan Oil, TIGI, and cutting classes galore!"

  • 2012 - 2014

    Second Position as a Stylist

    Salon BellaRose scooped Kelly up for a couple of years. They helped her grow up and expand her wings...Until she decided to be her own boss...

    Gem Salon Opens

    Gem (Named after her daughter's initials) was born! Gem is convenient space that Kelly can now focus on her clientele.

Gem offers up to date cuts, color, and Global Keratin Treatments. Kelly is a master in Paul Mitchell color and has eleven years invested in her craft.

Cuts

Cuts for women, men, and children. Specializing in long hair, bobs, and short cuts. Prices ranging from $35 - $60.

Color

Master Colorist. Specializing in Balayage, Blondes, Brunettes, Reds. Base Color: $55. Highlights $75 - $95. Other pricing may vary depending on the clients needs.

Bridal, Styling, and Makeup

Up-to-Date Styling and Updos. Elegant Bridal Makeup. Makeup: $35. Updos: $65. Bridal Updo: $85. Blowouts: $30
